TADE Professional Development Scholarship

$500 Scholarship         Awarded Annually

 

Requirements:

 

   Recipient must be a TADE member in good standing.

 

   Award must be used for professional development may include project or research not funded at the applicant's institution (does not include degree research).  May reflect professional travel or conference attendance not funded or fully funded at the applicant's institution. Please indicate degree of institutional funding (if any) with application.

 

  Written report should be given at the following year's TADE Business meeting reflecting how monies were used. The written report should be sent to the organization president so members can learn how monies were expended and how the award enhanced the member's professional development.

Required Attachments:

 

1.      Please attach an additional sheet detailing your project more fully and the professional benefits you expect to

derive from it for yourself and your developmental education students. (Limit one page.)

 

2.  If applying for travel, please attach a copy of the conference, symposium, or institute you are applying for funds to attend (if any funding is forthcoming from your institution, please indicate amount on your application).

 

3.  If project involves experimental subjects, please include your institution's endorsement of your research.  If project is partially funded by your institution, please indicate how much.  (This award is not given for degree research)

 

4.  Detailed Description of Applicant's Proposed Award Project:

 

   Detail specifics of proposal with documentation if needed

   Attach a budget and specifics about how money will be used.

   If relevant, a statement of institutional support for your project should be attached.

   If applying for travel, conference, symposium or institute funding, attach a photocopy of the relevant dates and activities at the event. Indicate how the receipt of the award will enhance your professional development.

 

5. Mail or fax to TADE President.

 

6. If accepted, a written report will be sent on how monies were spent.
