There are two awards presented annually at the Conference on Academic Support Programs (CASP).

CASP Lifetime Achievement Award

The CASP Lifetime Achievement Award is designed to recognize an individual for 1) outstanding contributions to the field of developmental education and/or to the field of learning assistance and 2) to   TxCRLA and/or TADE.  Current TxCRLA, TADE, or CASP Board Members and Site Chair are ineligible for this award. The award is present at the CASP Conference jointly by TxCRLA and TADE.

The applicant must have at least 20 years of service in developmental education and/or learning assistance.

The applicant must have been a member of TxCRLA and/or TADE for at least ten years and have made significant contributions to either or both of the organizations.

To nominate, complete the CASP LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD APPLICATION, and submit the application and letters of recommendation to the presidents of the two organizations by May 30.  Contact information for each president is found on the organizations’ respective websites.

2008 CASP LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD TO RUSS HODGES

Russ Hodges, Ed.D Russ Hodges, of Texas State University in San Marcos, was selected by the CASP board to receive the 2008 CASP Lifetime Achievement Award at the recent CASP Conference in Corpus Christi, Texas. This award is reserved for those individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of developmental education and/or to the field of learning assistance and have served in one or both sponsoring organizations, TxCRLA and/or TADE. Dr. Hodges, an Associate Professor of Adult and Developmental Education at TSU, is prominent as a leader in developmental education having served in many capacities in the field both inside and outside the classroom.
 

Congratulations to Amarillo College for the TADE Best Program Award for 2009

  Congratulations to Amarillo College for receiving the TADE Best Program Award for 2009. The award, which recognizes “exemplary programs” in Texas, consists of a plaque and $500 to benefit the winning developmental education program. The award was officially presented to Amarillo College representatives at the CASP conference.
